Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Just did a few more
Larry Littlefield did you take Jack's slides and viewer home?
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Larry Littlefield no just did a few while we were at the ranch last week.. we will eventually scan with a good scanner
Carolyn Graham Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Yes, you should! Such a treasure!
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Have you seen any with the 3d viewer Carolyn Graham. Some are so wonderful
Carolyn Graham Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder , Betty printed one of my parents and I! I love it! ...and so rare to have a second child photographed alone with momma & daddy! ❤️
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Carolyn Graham you really need to look at a few through the viewer. They are amazing.
Don Littlefield Oh look at me taking pictures. I wonder where I stored them.
Larry Littlefield I wondered if that was your little camera
Carolyn Graham Betty Williamson Would appreciate and love that, Betty!
Mj Hawe Ŧ Nice
Don Littlefield That is possible as I did have one
Don Littlefield Look at that awful pointed head. No wonder I could never keep a hat on it.
Carolyn Graham Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder ~Oops, I may be mistaken. It was during a memorial service, Mom’s or Dad’s and friends had copied from the Internet, I think. Not real clear, but I was glad to have.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Carolyn Graham it may be that there is one on the collection. Another reason to visit Betty Williamson and see the slides
Betty Williamson Carolyn Graham, the one of your parents with you is in the 3-D slides. I'll try to get a better "picture" of it with my phone.

Betty Williamson: She was wonderful, Patty Maloney Williamson. I have the best and sweetest memories of her. I loved her dearly.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder: She was a dear sweet woman. Who died too early in 1975
Larry Littlefield: Jack's living room about '57, after Daddy's accident. Fred&Jo , Jack & Blanche, Jim, Katie&Bud, Pa&Ma, Larry, Sherry and Donnie. But who could have taken the photo?
Gary Williamson: Adele or Lefty maybe?
Betty Williamson: Depending on when in 1957, Mother could have taken it. She got there in November, and she was good with a camera. I could see her asking to take it. But it looks like summer clothing, so probably not. I'll go with Gary's ideas.
Betty Williamson: What was your dad's accident, Larry Littlefield? I don't remember that.
Gary Williamson: The other spouses are all in so even if mother had taken this, then there probably would have been another with her in it (and someone else missing)
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder: Daddy got hit in the chin with a chain hoist at work. Loosened all his teeth and they had to be pulled. Had a scar in his chin. We lived in Morton at the time.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder: It was Ma and Pa's 50th anniversary. They are in the same clothes as other photos that day. I'll have to look up when their anniversary is.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder: Since it was a party for them I'd think other people might have been there.
Larry Littlefield: Yeah, Daddy worked at the welding shop in Morton. He lifted a truck up with the chain hoist. The hook slipped out and swung to hit him in the chin. They took him and his teeth, but he had gum disease so bad they couldn't put them back in. So he got false teeth then. He hated them for ever.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder: I remember him working on them with wet dry sandpaper
Carolyn Graham: Love this! Had not seen a photo so clear of “Uncle Acey & Aunt Lucy”...great to see the clan together!
Wedding anniversary is June 21, 1907

The Littlefields in Jack's back yard, '57.
Megan Sanders Snyder: Sherry you're adorable!
Sherry: I wish someone had said "smile" but who knows maybe they did
Larry: Daddy had just had his accident in the shop in Morton, Tx. He was working on a truck. He lifted the back with a chain hoist. The hook slipped out and swung back, catching him on the chin. It knocked all his teeth out. They took him and his teeth to the hospital but the dentist said his gum disease was so bad there was nothing he could do. So he got the hated false teeth. They never fit well. He was always taking them out and whittling on them with his knife.

Betty Williamson Got some good sibling action going on in this one!
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder I'm mad and out of there
Larry Littlefield Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder I'm sure it was something Don Littlefield said
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Larry Littlefield probably
Larry Littlefield Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder you can tell, he is still digging it in... By the way, where is he to "defend" himself?
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Larry Littlefield I've been wondering
Don Littlefield I am still here listening to what is being said about me. It probably was my fault look at that attitude I have on. That is in uncle Jacks back yard I think.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Don Littlefield yes it is

Larry Littlefield Not sure but I think this is the front of the ranch, before the hand rails on the porch. But I can't figure the house in the other photo, so you may be right. I only remember a couple trips to the irrigated farm north of Portales. I don't remember the ...See More
Betty Williamson Definitely not the ranch...we never had a door like that. I think Sherry is probably right on this one, although I don't remember their house in Portales.
Larry Littlefield Several years before your time Betty, but you've seen lots of the pictures on the pouch. Your door hasn't moved, it it directly up the steps?
Betty Williamson Nope...it's to the side.
Gary Williamson I agree with Betty on the door type - the doors at the Ranch were old before us and none of them like this.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder No it was at fred's house. There is also an indoor photo of their kitchen

Larry Littlefield Is there any reference to their address in Portales before the farm"
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder I think it was in a dairy farm, really close to town.
Larry Littlefield is this it or is this the other, or were there even two separate places??
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Larry Littlefield I think only one place. Maybe he just worked at the dairy

Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Yes it looks normal
Carolyn Graham Wow! What a great, great photo!
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder I still really miss them. I wish I had listened to more to their stories of life...
Carolyn Graham ...to be continued....❤️
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Carolyn Graham yes one day I hope to see them again.
Larry Littlefield I tried to write some of their stories, but don.t remember enough.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Larry Littlefield wish you did.

Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder The one was brownie. He was killed by another dog in ther porch. While I watched. Mama was peeling potatoes in the kitchen. But the time she ran there it was too late.
Susan Meister no wonder you like chihuahuas
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Susan Meister our next dog was a chihuahua
Carolyn Graham If only Larry had raised that little dog’s mug up a tiny bit higher....

Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Yep they went together. Like it was AE and Faye.

Denise Burnett Wonder what was in the box?
Larry Littlefield Christmas in the Blue Room on the ranch. A horrible day. I made an ass of my self, cause I got two Dinky Toys tractors and Donnie wouldn't trade me something he got. Donnie got a football.. We (I don't remember which) threw the ball for a pass in the blue Room and broke the ceiling light shade.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Why was it the blue room?
Larry Littlefield It was Pa & Ma's living room, before any expansion. I don't know even when it was blue. Before Jim & Nancy built their extension I think. I sorta remember it light green at some point.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Larry Littlefield I remember the light green very pale, but I also remember it being the blue room!! I knew it was their living room.
Betty Williamson Betting the light green came with my mom. She loved light green and probably repainted that when they added on their end to the house. I never knew it was the Blue Room. Love it.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Betty Williamson could be sounds reasonable
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Interesting story... do you know what was in my box?
Larry Littlefield No, you had cooties then, remember. hehehe But you did get a lot of dolls. It might be the year you got the easy bake oven, but it was bigger than that box.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Larry Littlefield I look happy enough just to have the box
Larry Littlefield I agree about the doors Sherry, Gary and Betty. I think they always were like this one was in the blue room. Ma liked the windows. The old one where the garage is now was the only one I remember with panels in it.
Gary Williamson That is where the bathroom is now between those bedrooms, correct?
I remember remainders of steps on the outside of wall there before garage.
Betty Williamson Gary, I think this is in what we called our playroom. It had a door going out on the north before we knocked that wall out and extended it.
Larry Littlefield yes to both, but different doors. Your bathroom used to be the "back door" on the east wall where the garage is. All those photos on the steps are there. This room is the old living room between Betty's room and the older bathroom. The wall where the door is, was taken out to expand the room y'all know now.
Gary Williamson Yup Betty - I agree pic is the “playroom” door. I just wasn’t sure when that other door had become a bathroom.
Larry Littlefield I think it was the same remodel for when Nancy came, so they could have separate bathrooms. I just don't remember what it looked like inside that door. Maybe that room(I still think of it as Betty's room) just had an outside door. It was Jim's room then.
A hundred years of remodeling ....
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Is that the door that is in the side of the carpeted room?
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder I know it was the Pa"s living room
Larry Littlefield if it is the same door( I doubt it) then yes, it was moved to the side when the room was expanded.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Larry Littlefield always use what you have
Gary Williamson Yes Sherry - the existing door on north of the old living room was moved to west wall when that room was enlarged. P
Larry Littlefield Gary do you guys remember that project? and when was the garage project?
Gary Williamson Same time. I was was in drivers ed
Gary Williamson So I was 9th maybe, Betty 11th, stew 12th?
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Larry Littlefield it has been awhile
Gary Williamson So 77 to 78ish.
Gary Williamson We had driving practice after school, and I was dropped off at house once while the construction was in progress.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Gary Williamson good to remember the association
Larry Littlefield OK, I was at ENMU 67-71, so there summers 59-67 I think.2 years before Pa died, cause I remember he made breakfast for me and I rototill-ed his garden as the first project every year
Larry Littlefield He would saw off a few slices of a frozen package of hamburger from the freezer and cook them with a few eggs. Seemed like he liked really strong coffee too.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Larry Littlefield cool memory
Betty Williamson Mother said Pa often ate part or all of a raw onion with breakfast, too.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Betty Williamson I remember that
Larry Littlefield The hamburger wasn't all that burned either, pretty rare. I do remember something else on the plate but had forgotten what it was. Not sure I ate many of the onions.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Larry Littlefield I know I didn't eat the onions. I remember half a grapefruit for breakfast sometimes. And the wonderful washpan full of jerky.
Betty Williamson This answers one question. Room was changed and garage added in 12/1977. Good memory, Gary.
Sherry Lee Littlefield Snyder Betty Williamson hey what forethought!
